USING FOOD TO SELF-MEDICATE

It is important to be aware of your genetic make-up and underlying physical and mental health issues and to understand how they may play a role in your eating and weight loss difficulties. Food contains nutrients that are building blocks to hormones and neurotransmitters that impact how we think and feel.

Emotional eaters often have underlying conditions that they unknowingly are attempting to “self-medicate” with food.

Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and the life to come.” – 1 Timothy 4:8

“I will meditate on your principles.” – Psalm 119:73b
